Shalom from the FJC Religious School!
Our school strives to provide a Jewish religious education to children
from all Jewish backgrounds and families. Our school curriculum is grade-specific and on-par with what other area religious
schools are teaching. Each class has specific educational goals for the year and curriculum to help ensure we meet these goals.
We organize the classes by grade for Judaic teaching, but because we have so many children at different levels of Hebrew reading,
we have the flexibility to group children by reading level for the Hebrew portion of the class period. Our small class sizes
enable us to give personal attention to each child and this structure allows the children to grow at their own pace.
Our classes are held on Sundays from
9:30 – 11:30 AM and once again we will have our religious school classes in the classrooms at Highland School
in Warrenton. During our class time we focus on Hebrew reading learning and Judaic programming that is appropriate to each
grade level. Our location also allows us to also do more all-school activities, like the Passover Seder we held this year,
as well as a weekly mini-service with all grades that we will hold at the beginning of every Sunday. Additionally, our children
will be involved in several of our congregational holiday celebrations, which will support classroom learning with real-life
Our school year begins in September and we are accepting new students.
Families enrolling children in religious school are required to be paid members of the FJC for the 2016-2917 year.
We look forward to a great
year and to many enriching experiences for your children and our FJC Family. Please feel free to contact us with any questions,
concerns or thoughts about the upcoming FJC Religious School year at firstname.lastname@example.org.
